Install WebArchitect as app for Chrome or Edge
lf you are often working with WebArchitect you may prefer to start it like an app and have it fixed on your taskbar or as a link on your desktop. So you don’t have to open the browser and open the link – simply click on the app icon and get opened WebArchitect without the unnecessary browser tabs, url field and favourites. It now looks like any installed app on you client and no longer like a browser window.
Open Chromium Edge or Chrome and open the WebArchitect as a partner with the URL https://fujitsu.com/configurator to get the logon page or https://fujitsu.com/configurator/sso as Fujitsu internal user with SSO. Then click the Settings button (three dots in the upper-right corner) and then go to Apps > Install in Edge or More tools -> Create shortcut in Chrome this site as an app. Next, type in a meaningful name for the shortcut of the web app and click the Install button. That’s it. A shortcut for the app will be created on your desktop and Start menu. If you prefer to have the web app shortcut on the Taskbar, right-click on the icon on your desktop and choose “Pin to Taskbar” from the menu.
When you open the WebArchitect app with the new created icon it looks like this – due to the missing standard browser header lines, it is more space available for the WebArchitect itself.
